NASA's James Webb Space Telescope (JSWT) soared into space successfully on December 2021 and successfully completed its major deployments about two weeks later while speeding toward its ultimate destination. The telescope is named after James E. Webb, who was the administrator of NASA from 1961 to 1968 and played an integral role in the Apollo program.
